On Tuesday October 4th 2016, Hurricane Matthew, hit Haiti with winds of well over 100 miles-per-hour pummeling towns and farmlands forcing hundreds of thousands of people to take cover.
This is the worst natural crisis to hit Haiti since the devastating 2010 earthquake (6 years ago), the Category Four hurricane unleashed torrential rain on the island . Damage to housing and crops is extensive, a time when tens of thousands of people are still living in flimsy tents and makeshift dwellings because of the 2010 earthquake.
